Artist's Statement

I have lived in North Devon since early childhood. It is mainly this landscape and all the details within that constantly give me ideas for my work. They come as a result of some fleeting observation, memory or through imagination. I use oils, watercolours, collage,& printing to bring about these images - sometimes building up a painting in layers over several weeks  But ideas constantly flow in.. one cannot always say why or how.
