Marianne Edwards studied Fine Art at Exeter College of Art. She won prizes at TV sponsored exhibitions and has shown widely in many solo and mixed exhibitions.

Artist's Statement

The coast and countryside of the West Country are the inspiration for Marianne’s pastels. Shifting patterns of light through trees, over land or water are common themes. She takes photographs to use as reference when she plans a composition in her studio. She does not aim for the depiction of a particular place but endeavours to express her response to the beauty of the country side
