Claire's figurative ceramics are at present based around the complexities of human communication. All pieces are individually hand modelled using Earthstone STclay. They are initially fired to 1060 ºC and then finished with a mixture of oxides,underglaze colours and a transparent earthenware glaze. Final firing is to 1080 ºC Some pieces are sited on wooden bases secured with a metal rod and an epoxy resin.
Claire is a professional member of the Craft Potters Association.
