Razale Scott Olivier discovered a passion for jewellery making whilst living in France. She collected her influences of quirky trends to create Flambeaux Jewellery. After being introduced to the versatility of precious metals by an established silversmith, Razale chose to pursue working in this medium.
Flambeaux Jewellery uses a striking mix of sterling silver and contrasting metals. For a stylish twist, selected items are finished with precious gemstones.
Flambeaux Jewellery’s one off pieces are designed to interact with the wearer. Taking inspiration from songs and bustling street life, Razale captures movement in her jewellery.
Each individual piece is hand crafted by Razale. She works using traditional silversmithing techniques. Often an intricate process, which involves saw piercing, soldering and hammering. Time old techniques are explored such as reticulating, forging and forming precious metals to achieve dramatic qualities. Metal is then polished or textured using an intriguing array of materials and tools to produce original, contemporary jewellery with elaborate and exciting detail.
As a singer and writer Razale wanted to find a way of incorporating words into her designs. Drawing on French romantic theme, Razale has launched a stunning new range.
French inscriptions are showcased in this latest eye-catching collection, lending an enigmatic feel to the designs.
Razale lives in North Devon with her French husband and bi-lingual dog. Many of Razale’s collections are exhibited in a selection of North Devons' prestigious galleries. Razale has designed and made commission pieces of jewellery for clients as far afield as the USA, France and Holland.
