Artist's Profile

I have been drawing and painting the North Devon land and seascape for many years and it is my main source of inspiration.  However I also make assemblages from the detritus of the seashore and paint in an entirely abstract style as well.
I have exhibited both here and in Oxford and my work has found homes as far away as Australia.

Artist's Statement

After a career in Performing Arts and the Education Advisory Service I have been able to concentrate on my first love - painting.  I have also recently decided to give my brain and my artwork a little push, by working towards a Fine Arts Degree.  I want see what might be the outcome, be it new styles, new subject matter or just other ways of thinking, and to have the daily stimulation of other artists.  I am thoroughly enjoying it, though some days my brain feels as though it is full!  But watch this space.
