Born in London. Moved with parents to Melbourne, Australia in late 40's. Early studio training with painter Wesley Penberthy. On return to UK completed National service as Musician in the Band of the Royal Artillery, Woolwich. Attended Harrow School of Art, studying painting with William Brooker.Worked as freelance illustrator for several major London publishing houses. Moved to North Devon in 1976.
Paints landscape in Oils and watercolour and portraits on commission. Exhibited with the Royal Institute of Paintersin Watercolour. The Royal Watercolour Society and the South West Academy. Was a finalist in the 2008 Holburne. Portrait Prize.
Work in collections in Australia, Europe, South Africa, UK and USA.
