- David Roe
From a lowly beginning many years ago in art at Goldsmiths College and the Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts, I settled on a technical career with overtures into carpentry and joinery and technical drawing. My whole career revolved around technical matters and drawing but in a commercial setting. In more recent years I returned to pure art and, whilst I enjoyed acrylic painting, I was drawn to pastel painting and a development in life drawing. I would describe my work as quirky with lots of light and shade and bordering on pure portraiture. Given a choice it is moody and descriptive in nature.
