I trained in Fine Art at Exeter College of Art (Foundation Course) and Reading University (BA hons).
My work is inspired by the land and sea and through my paintings I explore the underlying structure of the land, the power of the sea and the transient qualities of both. My work is based on a strong observation and direct experience of nature to evoke a spirit of place and the ongoing passage of time. It is the ancient remote landscapes I am drawn to, their atmosphere and apparent fragility in relation to light, rain and wind, yet in the end it is their timeless power in the seen and felt moment that remains.
