Back in 2021, NDA member Deborah Last set herself a challenge to paint plein air, every day of the year throughout 2022. Her challenge began on 1st January 2022 and has just come to an end as we ticked over to 2023.

This is an amazing achievement and everyone at NDA would like to congratulate Debs on completing her goals.

Through rain and shine, Debs left the house every single day to paint a scenic landscape view around North Devon.

Her final day was celebrated by a group of supporters, several of which are also NDA members, who braved the rain to watch her complete her 365th painting. Her challenge has caught the imagination of the public and she was featured on BBC Radio Devon in the morning show.

Debs has had help and support throughout her challenge and was quick to give thanks: “Thanks goes big time to Kathryn Timms Caroline Lumb – Artist for faithfully painting with me through out the year and to Sue Tucker and Sara Randle for all your help and support with admin and marketing.”
