The Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe divides opinion. Some think it unique and creative, others think it downright ugly. Either way, it is a valued resource in the area, regularly featuring entertainment and the arts.
North Devon Arts are in talks with the theatre with the hope of holding an exhibition there at some point in the near future.
However, in the much nearer future we are holding another ‘plein air’ outside drawing session there on Thursday 10th February.
Our first plein air session took place last month at Fremington Quay and proved to be a great success with a great turnout and many members turning up to draw and others to just chat and socialise.
Many members asked if we could organise another and so we have, only this time we are moving to the beautiful and historical town of Ilfracombe.
We will be meeting at the Landmark Theatre for coffee for 10.30am which may or may not result in a debate over our personal opinions on the theatre building!
After a warming coffee we will be taking our drawing pads and easels out to sketch some of the fantastic surrounding scenery.
More information is available on the event page: https://www.northdevonarts.co.uk/events/event/coffee-the-landmark/
We do hope you can join us.
