Our outdoor, plein air sessions return this September but with a difference

Tuesday 20th September sees the launch of the Northern Devon Cultural Strategy and NDA have been invited to be part of the celebrations.

The launch takes place at 3.00pm at The Square in Barnstaple outside of the museum and NDA will be in attendance and showing our skills off to the public, local businesses, local council and local press.

Some details are still to be confirmed but it is looking like we may have three gazebos, where our artwork and skills can be exhibited.

A part of the NDA exhibit will be our plein air artists who will be drawing, painting or photographing the event and the surrounding buildings and views. There may even be an opportunity for portrait or caricatures.

This is our chance to showcase our talents and let the people of Barnstaple and North Devon know who we are and what we do and how we can play an important role in the cultural strategy.

If you do not want to draw or paint, then why not come along and exhibit some of your work or just pop-in to support the other members who are participating.

NDA will be on the square from 12:00 noon to begin setting up. We would appreciate any help from volunteers who can assist with the setting up and packing away of the exhibition. Maybe you could both help and draw.
